TRUTH.....
I never, ever dress up this much when I am camping (I usually look like a sweaty hobo)
I actually HATE canooing because they are so untrustworthy and always flip (I preffer to Kayak)
This National Geographic magazine actually has a snow covered mountain and a Skier on the front
By the time this shoot was over I was covered in sweat (ugh...this Texas heat)
The lighting for these pictures was so inconsistent but Lightroom saved my life!
Last week my brother and sister and I went on a camping trip with our mom to Inks Lake (one of our favorite camping spots). As per the blogger that I am, I of course planned an outfit to take and photograph while I was there. I knew that the park always had canoes by the lake for people to rent and I thought that taking pictures in front of them would be the perfect photo shoot location! With that idea in mind I couldn't resist picking up this darling boater style hat at Target to take with me and also to add to my ever growing hat collection ;)
Apparently I was really into red for this look because I ended up grabbing these red shorts of mine to pair with this red and brown striped button up shirt. Since I knew I would be wearing my tan Salt Water Sandals I decided to add a matching tan belt which made it look quite adventure esque, and with that being said I grabbed a red bandanna (big surprise) at the last minute to wear and then topped it off with my hat! Definitely ready for an adventure or a boat ride (just not in a canoe)!
Do you like canoeing?

I love canoeing 🛶!! I've gone twice and now I really want to go kayaking! I hope to go later this year for my first time🤗!
ReplyDeleteLove how you added trim to your shorts! Definitely makes them cuter ❤️🍒!
Kayaking is MY FAVE! We have three so we go pretty often:)

This outfit is really sweet and fun at the same time :) I actually have never tried canoeing in my life... I always fear the canoe will turn over.

I prefer canoes. But only with a crew I trust...
ReplyDeleteLove your red cute shorts! You really put an adorable outside photo shoot together;) I fear tipping over in a canoe too! I would really like to have a paddle boat, they just seem like they would be so much fun!! Glad you could going camping and spend family time, its so nice to make fun memories;) Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you Stephanie:) Glad I am not the only one who worries about tipping. The park actually has paddle boats too and they are so much fun!

I feel like you haven't done a post in shorts for a while, so it's so fun to see something different up on MinnieMuse! The trim is so fun, and these colors are just so reminiscent of a vintage American summer. Personally, I'm not into canoes unless I'm actively going to be working out---it's not possible for me to look chic while trying to move forward and also manage to not tip over! So I applaud you lol
ReplyDeleteI really do need to have more posts with shorts because I do wear them a lot! Here's to making that happen this summer on the blog:)

These pictures are so adorable! You look like you just stepped out of the 1960's. I was actually shocked when you went on to reveal the truth - I totally would have believed you look this cute camping! haha. Love the outfit combo, though :)
