Christmas Presents With Etsy Artists

Pieces from Etsy "Art By Princess Grace"

I might be right brained and artistic, but not nearly as talented as the artist that I constantly come across on Etsy. I love the community that Etsy provides in allowing creatives to follow their dreams and passions, and even more so when people support fellow entrepreneurs and small businesses.

A couple of weeks ago one of my lovely followers contacted me to ask if I would like to feature her art on my blog. I was delighted by her offer and even more excited to brows her lovely Etsy Shop "Art By Princess Grace". Watercolor is definitely one of my favorite mediums because of its airy feel and natural color spectrum so I was curious to see her hand painted pieces.

I chose a Teacup framed painting and two of her lovely cards. Teacups have always meant so much to me as I have collected them since I was younger but also because they are so classic and dainty. Of course one of the cards I chose had to be a teacup as well, and the other one was a lovely tree painting with birds. I can't wait to find the perfect place in my room for this picture and to use these cards for some dear friends.

If you are still looking for a last minute Christmas present or some lovely art for your room/home, consider checking out all the many Etsy artists or "Art By Princess Grace." In fact, she is running a 20% off sale till December 31st with the code HOLIDAY20.

Festive In Plaid

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

Dress: c/o Gamiss
Sweater: Wallmart
Tights: Target
Socks: Kohls
Boots: Target
Purse: Sam Moon
Brooch: Thrifted

I feel like I am slightly obsessed with festive fashion this Christmas season! Somehow every day when I wake up and reach for something to wear I always gravitate towards a Christmas sweater, plaid prints, Christmas print leggings (for around the house), holiday broaches (cats wearing Santa hats is a bonus), fuzzy Christmas socks, or forever something in the color red. Maybe its that this time of year makes me extra happy to dress up, or that I really do LOVE Christmas that much (which is true), but I think it also stems from the fact that Christmas passes so quickly each year that I wish to savor every moment like a Christmas cookie melting in my mouth.

This dress has been the perfect Christmas staple because of its plaid print and red color. It is one of those staple dresses that is not only a classic cut, but easy to layer over different sweaters, collard blouses, and tights. I can't help but feel festive every time I slip it on and this ensemble was no exception. My dream is to find a green turtle neck jumper to wear under this dress to make it EXTRA "Christmasy" but sadly I have yet to find one. Thus, I settled for a red and grey color scheme with this look and I quote love how it turned out.

The day that these pictures were taken was the weekend after my birthday which just so happened to be a weekend spent catching up with all of my good friends. We decided we needed to have a mini photo shoot and document our reunion since it had been nearly a year since were were all last together at one time. However, apart from the joy of seeing them all again and spending time together I can't get over how perfectly our group picture captures all of our different personalities and styles so effortlessly! They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and the picture of us all speaks volumes as to who each one of us uniquely is.

Trip To The Cinema

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Skirt: Thrifted
Sweater Set: Thrifted
Shoes: Sperry's
Socks: Forever 21
Scarf: Vintage
Sunglasses: Eyefolds

I made it!!! The fall semester is over and I am heading home for Christmas break today...HURRAY!!! This semester seems to have flown by even though it seems like I have been gone from home forever :) It's CRAZY to think that next semester I will be a senior in college.....a senior! I still can't believe that I only have two more semesters of college left, but just thinking about that seems a bit crazy still.

However, I can't wait to get home for Christmas break and enjoy the festivities of the season and spend much needed time with my family. I am planning on doing lots of baking, helping to throw an ugly Christmas sweater party with one of my best friends, and attending all of our fabulous family Christmases. All in all I just can't wait to be back home around familiar places and faces.

The pictures for today's post were taking a month ago when it was much warmer in Texas and felt like summer rather than fall. Somehow we usually skip right over fall and dive head first into winter. However, after discovering this old theater downtown this semester I had been waiting to take pictures there one day. I love how the old theater gives a perfect retro backdrop and decided to pair a neck scarf with this forest green sweater set, a button front skirt, and loafers. The whole look was perfect for the theater and reminisce of a trip to the cinema in the 1950's! I especially LOVE the John Wayne "Paradise Canyon" movie poster mural, it definitely reminds me of my Grandfather who is a huge fan of classic westerns.

I know that I will definitely be visiting this theater more next semester for photos, but for now it is time to top in my car and head home for Christmas break!! Cut the Christmas music and coffee for the car ride home:)

Are you on winter break yet?
What are some things you have planned for the break?

Skinny Girl Coffee Club

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

A month or so ago one of the lovely people over at Skinny Girl Coffee contacted me about trying their product and possibly being a brand ambassador. Of course, since it had to do with coffee I was originally intrigued and curious about what they had to offer. At first I was a little uncertain about trying their product as it is advertised as a weight loss program and I had no desired to loose weight. However, after talking to them a bit more and reading up on it I realized there were other benefits that intrigued me and seemed most beneficial.

While many people utilize Skinny Girl Coffee for weight loss, it has other noted benefits such as the ability to:  decrease hunger (feeling of satiety), increase motivation and energy, reduce bloating, improve skin and a healthy glow, improve complexion, enhance stamina and fitness, and fight anti-aging. The reason it offers all of these benefits is because of its nutrient and vitamin rich ingredients such as: organic green coffee beans, chlorogenic green coffee bean extract, siberian ginseng, Matcha powder, Spirulina, and wheatgrass. Now, I know what you are probably thinking....with all of those "healthy" ingredients there is no way that it tastes good?!

Thanks to the lovely people over at Skinny Girl Coffee they sent over their product for me to try out for myself and I am here to tell you that I was highly surprised! Contrary to what you (and I) might think about its flavor it is actually quite delicious and was a great and healthy substitute from my normal caffeine filled cup, because lets be honest, coffee is something that many of us LOVE and don't want to give up.

In addition, while I wasn't in need of the weight loss side of it, I was curious about what it could do for giving me a healthy boost of energy and keeping me from feeling sluggish. Typically normal coffee really doesn't have any affect on me, so I was exceedingly surprised when after my first day I really did feel more energized and motivated (which is a plus in college)! Therefore, with a healthy option like a cup of Skinny Girl Coffee I knew that what I was drinking held many more benefits than regular coffee itself and gave me a motivational boost to start my day.

Have you ever heard of Skinny Girl Coffee?
Would you drink coffee that had all of these healthy and natural ingredients?

Coffee + Jesus With Texas Sweet Tees

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes:
Socks: Forever 21
Flannel: Old Navy
Watch: Sam Moon
Nail Polish: Revlon "Vixen"

One more final and my semester will be successfully over! I honestly can't believe this semester is coming to a close, but boy am I ready for Christmas!
When it comes to this past semester there is one thing I have learned.....one can only conquer college life with coffee and a whole LOT of Jesus to start the day and keep you going! That is definitely one reason why I LOVE this shirt from Texas Sweet Tees that perfectly describes my daily routine.
When the lovely creatives over at Texas Sweet Tees contacted me and asked if I would like to feature one of their shirts on my blog I knew that I had to pick the one centered around coffee and Jesus (even though all of their shirts are to die for)! Plus....I think we can all agree that shimmery gold letters are one of the greatest things ever and if I were to go even further I would say that the gold even matches all of my gold monogramed mugs (which is a LOT). In all seriousness though, I have been on the lookout for a new graphic tee and this one fit the bill perfectly!
I typically love to wear a cute graphic tee (a coffee quote is a bonus) with jeans and an oversized cardigan on lazy days, and one requirement for that tee is that it be super soft and comfortable. Therefore, if the uplifting message and gold lettering wasn't enough this shirt is definitely the softest tee I have had in awhile and is constantly on repeat when I don't have anything to do except stay in my room with a book and large mug of coffee.
If you are on the lookout for a soft, comfy, and cute graphic tee I would highly suggest checking out Texas Sweet Tees, and if you are a Texas girl like me I know that their southern charm will be a bonus!

Do you like wearing graphic tees?
What do you have to say about Jesus and coffee to start your day?

Holiday Makeup Picks with e.l.f.

All products c/o e.l.f via Influenster
Picture props all from Target

I don't know about you, but the holidays are always a time that I love to be more festive when it comes to makeup, whether that be creating fun look for a party or pulling out new products and colors to fit the season. This holiday season I am especially LOVING the products e.l.f. has to offer! I have always been a fan of e.l.f because of not only their affordable priced, but also due to their great quality! That is why I was soooooo SUPER EXCITED to receive the e.l.f. Vox Box from Influenster a couple of weeks ago! In the vox box I received a number of exciting products to try, all of which were brand new to me and I must say that I have been blown away by the results.

With the holiday season in full swing I wanted to share my new favorite e.l.f products with you all that are perfect for all of your holiday and Christmas needs!

    • e.l.f Hydrating Bubble Mask: I have to say that this might just be my favorite product from the vox box! I had never heard of a bubble mask before so I was curious as to what it would do for my skin. True to its name the mask goes on like a gel but within minute bubbles up to a fluffy white foam and makes your skin feel so fresh and rejuvenated. With the harshness for winter weather this mask is definitely super beneficial in adding moisture back into my skin.
    • e.l.f Matte Lip Color in Wine: I will admit that I was a little uncertain about this lip color as I haven't always had good luck with e.l.f lipsticks in the past. However, this lipstick completely changed the game and I have been wearing it 24/7. I love that it comes in a smaller pen like applicator, and the "wine" color is utter perfection for the holiday season. While it might not stay on as long as some lipsticks, it definitely lasts longer than other drug store brands I have.
    • e.l.f Mineral Infused Face Primer: Still haven't decided if I like this primer yet? I had previously been using the Rimmel London primers and loved them, but I thought I would give this one a try! It is more of a gel consistency rather than a cream and goes on very smoothly. However, other than that I haven't decided if it helps my makeup routine or not?
    • e.l.f Lip Exfoliator in Mint Maniac: I was definitely excited to get this lip exfoliator in the box, because I always love using an exfoliator every now and then. With this one it is so simple to use because you apply it like lipstick and then wipe it off. The exfoliate is sugar and minty, so it feels great on your lips and smooths them out for applying lipstick.
    • e.l.f Baked Highlighter & Bronzer in Bronzed Glow: I have become an avid user of bronzer, either by itself or paired with a blush color. Therefore I can't say enough about this bronzer because not only is it a subtle iridescent tan color, but paired with the twin highlighter it gives your face the perfect and natural glow....I have been using this EVERY day since I got it:) Also.....easy makeup hack for you lovelies, is that you can use your bronzer (this one especially) for your eyeshadow and it give you a perfect natural glow!!

Have you use e.l.f before?
Are any of these products familiar to you?
Do you use any of these products in a different brand?
