"Adventure is worthwhile in itself."
-Amelia Earhart
I think one of the things I miss most about being in college (and having a slightly rigorous schedule) is not having time for adventures. To be honest, having the time to visit new places is one think I am looking forward to after graduating....anyone want to join me? As odd as that might sound, I have come to look forward to the times I can visit a new place, or discover the perfect picture spot. Thankfully, I still get to revisit my favorite places each week to take pictures, but that is usually only because I quickly fit it into my day and don't get the time to actually cherish and soak it all in. Adventures are something that I have truly grown fond of and try to take the most of every opportunity I get to have them.
With that being said, adventures call for "adventure worthy" outfits and nothing says a perfect and golden adventure like a warm plaid jacket to keep you cozy and a mustard barret hat. Warm and bright colors (like mustard) seem to be the perfect choice when exploring new places and exude a feeling of fresh ideas and new found inspiration.
Do you like taking time for adventures?
What do your adventures call for?

This outfit reminds me of Rebecca/A Clothes Horse, which you pull off so well! I think the adventure-escape mentality is one you encapsulate so well on your blog! While you might not feel like your adventures are lengthy, know that reading them always seems like a mini vacation :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet:) That's so funny you said that because she was kind of the muse for this post:) her posts always inspire me with style and location and as soon as I got this jacket and hat I knew I had to use her blog as inspiration.

Love the beret. And winter often needs a pop of color.

I hate to say it, but I feel like I have even less time to go on adventures now that I've graduated college. In college, there was always summer vacation and breaks to look forward to, not to mention time off when I should be doing homework/studying. Now it's work all the time - no summer vacation! I do like adventuring, exploring new places (especially parks!) and stores and seeing what's out there to find. I just have to find time on the weekend now! I must say, your outfit is perfect for adventuring!
ReplyDeleteI feel like that will actually become my reality once I graduate...sadly. Thankfully though I will have part of summers off since I am going to be a teacher, so I will be squeezing as many trips and adventures into two months as I can!

I love your jacket, nice winter colors. Your mustard hat and tights complete your style perfectly! The scenery really fits in with your outfit. I do like out door hikes seeing nature up close with fresh air always is refreshing:) Stephanie
