Remember in my Valentines Day Post when I mentioned that I started the tradition of buying myself books for Valentines Day? Well, I thought I would share those books with you all in case you want to check them out for yourself! Truth be told, I haven't read them yet but I have started the first one "To All The Boy's I've Loved Before."
I have seen all three of these titles floating around on the internet and on Instagram with the book connoisseur's I follow and have been wanting to read them for myself. Not only are the covers pretty (let's be honest, sometimes that's why I buy a book) but the plots seem well worth reading as well. To All The Boys I've Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You are the first two books in a 3 part series written by Jenny Han and seem to be very popular books and I can't wait to finish them. However, Everything Everything is a book that I had seen, but didn't completely consider until I found out that it is coming out as a movie May 19th which made me really fall for the plot! The movie is being produced by the same people who did the movies If I Stay and Me Before You which are both great books also and beautifully heartwrenching movies, so the trailer that was just released for Everything Everything is so emotionally gripping and makes me want to read the book even more!
I pulled up the synopsis for the books and will share them below:
To All The Boys I've Loved Before
What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once?
Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

P.S. I Still Love You
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of makes it so amazing.

Everything Everything
For those of you who have ready Eleanor & Park (like me) we are supposed to love this book!
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

Now I am off to probably pick up where I left off last time in To All The Boys I've Loved Before! Hope you enjoyed seeing what books are currently on my night stand to read. I am always trying to make a bigger dent in my HUGE library (thank you Goodwill, Thriftbooks, Half.com, Book Outlet, and Amazon) and will try to start sharing those on here. Also, I will make sure to share my thoughts over on Instagram when I finish each book so make sure to check that out:) However, if you have read any of these books let me know what you think or even comment your current read below!
Have you read any of these titles?
Have you seen the trailer for Everything Everything?
What are you currently reading?

I recently finished Everything Everything and liked it. Some of it was cheesy/not realistic, but it's a teen romance at its heart so that's expected and it's really a nicely written book.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books. They seem interesting.

These are great choices! I'm currently reading Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan.
