As a blogger, if you asked me one thing I was sad about this season, I would have said it was the lack of "Christmasy" locations to shoot at for the blog, so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that our darling town had a giant Christmas tree over by the old train depot! Of course I knew that I had to take pictures there, so on Monday I packed up my gear, bundled up for the chilly Texas winter, and headed out to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree!
I have always had a love for GIANT Christmas trees and get giddy whenever I see one this time of the year. Christmas trees are such a huge part of my Christmas experience (and one of my favorite things at Christmas) so a giant one is just 100x's better! Plus, when your town puts up a Christmas tree and has every business on main street decorate their own light pole in a unique way it just goes to show that they LOVE Christmas as much as I do:)
With Christmas time comes colder weather in Texas, which means some days it could be in the 30's and other days it could be in the 70's. Texas really is a bipolar state when it comes to weather. Therefore, this past Monday when it was windy and frigidly chilly outside I chose to add tights and leg warmers with my FAVORITE Hannah Everly skirt because Polka dots are so festive to me, and this skirt is perfect for every occasion.....especially Christmas! And since Christmas is right around the corner I am all about the Christmas accessories like this Santa broach I borrowed from my mom and these new gold wrapping bow earrings paired with a red sweater, scarf, and a winter jacket of course.
5 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!
Are you a fan of giant Christmas trees?

Oh my goodness, I ADORE this shoot! It's so festive! And you look adorable as always. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this, Madison! Those earrings are darling and the red against the festive tree is so nice ♥ And I loved getting to the bts from the shoot on your insta story! Sooooo much Christmas cheer!
ReplyDeleteThere's a Christmas tree farm not far from our house, full of market stalls, vintage shops, syrup makers, and lots of Christmas trees! I love looking up the ginormous ones and just smiling because IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are so great, beautiful, and festive! Ironically, "O Christmas Tree" was playing when I read this post :)
Adorable outfit, and such a lovely photo shoot! I can understand your excitement about finding the giant Christmas tree. :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very merry Christmas!

I love your outfit and those earrings are so cute!! I love giant Christmas trees too. I'm from a small town and they always decorate a Christmas tree outside every year. This year, all the little shops on main st. decorated their windows and it looks beautiful at night with everything lit up! Also, that weather sounds lovely! Over the weekend we had -24 degree temperatures and snow. It felt like a heat wave today with 35 degree temperatures!
ReplyDeleteHave a very Merry Christmas!!
What an adorable look! I love the polka dot skirt, and the red sweater seems perfect for this time of the year.
