It's no secret that I LOVE fall! There is just something about the season that makes you marvel at nature, long to breath in the cool crisp breeze, open your window, light a candle, and go to a pumpkin patch. It's also the only season where I actually like orange....and might even be a bit obsessed with it, but I guess that isn't a surprise with my love for pumpkins!

This past weekend I was finally able to visit the pumpkin patch with one of my best friends Elizabeth, and we went all out on the pictures:) If any of you are familiar with Sarah Vickers, she is kind of one of our favorite Instagramers/Blogger and we might be a bit to obsessed with her and her husbands adorable life and style, especially when it comes to fall. Needless to say our day at the pumpkin patch was like living our New England dream life:)

Pumpkins always remind me of my childhood. I can remember going to this exact pumpkin patch as a kid, so getting to visit it again was so much fun. Of course, it is no surprise that I decided to dress for the occassion and specifically made a Pumpkin skirt for the Pumpkin patch, but its kind of the greatest skirt ever and makes me feel like a kid again!

I can't wait to check more things off of my Fall Bucket List!

In The Kitchen: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Fall in our house means Chocolate Chip Muffins!! Starting September 1st my mom heads to the kitchen to make the first batch of many Chocolate Chip Muffins that we will consume throughout the fall. We have them for breakfast, grab them for a snack, munch on them throughout the day, or even sneak into the kitchen to grab one for a midnight snack. Fall means all things PUMPKIN for me especially and you wouldn't believe the incredible pairing of pumpkin + chocolate:) 

Since Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins are my favorite fall treat and make fall that extra sweet I thought I would share the easy and delicious recipe with you so that you can taste them for yourself!

INGREDIENTS:
3 1/2 Cups Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon 
1 tsp. Nutmeg
3 Cups sugar
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
4 Eggs
2 Cups Canned or Pure Pumpkin 
1 1/2 - 2 Cups of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 

DIRECTIONS:
**Preheat oven to 350 Degrees**
1) Before you start, grab a cup of coffee, Pumpkin spice, cider, or fall flavored tea, put on your favorite fall tunes, open a window, grab an apron and get ready to bake!
2) Start by first sifting your dry ingredients (flour, salt, soda,sugar and spices) together into a large bowl.
3) In a separate bowl or mixer, mix the pumpkin, water, oil and eggs together.
4) Carefully pour your dry mixture into your pumpkin mixture in three small amounts...if you pour it all at once be ready for December in a full on blizzard of flour snow:)
5) If you choose to make muffins, spray your muffin pans with non stick spray (or you can use muffins papers), use a mechanical ice cream scoop for the perfect measurement, and scoop the batter into each tray section. This recipe makes around 4 dozen muffins.
6) Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. TIP: I learned a baking tip for checking cupcakes and muffins from a baker at a shop once, and the best way to test if muffins or cupcakes are cooked and ready is whether or not they float back up after you press on the center. So if you open the oven and lightly press on a muffin and it floats back up it is READY! 
7) Cool the muffins on a cooling rack and remove from the pan when they are somewhat cool. 
8) Serve warm with a cold glass of milk!

I don't know about you, but I am the BIGGEST fan of scarves in the fall! Whether it is a traditional scarf, chunky throw, or the ever perfect blanket scarf I am all about grabbing one to stay cozy and add a bit of color and pop to any look. 
With the popularity of blanket scarves there is always the need for new prints that fit your personality and I can't get over the vast selection of scarves ilymix has to offer. I already have two blanket scarves that I am in LOVE with, but when ilymix reached out asking if I would like to share some of their scarves on the blog and pick one out for myself I couldn't wait to add one of their prints to my closet! While you could easily find me wearing any one of their fabulous scarves, I had to stick with my fall inspiration and chose one that had hints of orange, rust, and tan.....mainly because it reminded me of a pumpkin and it was perfect!!!
I can't wait till the weather actually gets crisp and cold in Texas so that I can bundle up in my Pumpkin Plaid scarf, because it is truly the softest and coziest thing ever! I think the best part of blanket scarves is that they have multiple uses, they can be a shawl, wrap, 3 different scarf styles, plus a blanket, picnic blanket, or throw.....so basically you just REALLY NEED ONE!!!

Denim Jumper & 70's Prints

I don't know what it is about fall that draws me to 70's style, but every year as October draws near and the weather starts to cool I automatically reach for denim jumpers, funky floral prints, striped turtleneck sweaters, bold tights, and ankle boots!

Oddly enough, I used to think that dressing like the 70's meant donning bold and colorful prints, braided crowns, shiny boots, and peace signs, but as the years have gone by I have realized that true 70's style is so much more classic and appropriate for the cooler months, when the leaves fade into warm colors and the breeze whispers through the trees. If you have ever watched "That 70's Show" you probably know exactly what I am talking about when it comes to 70's fashion.

Denim jumpers seem to be my fall staple every year, and I recently found this perfect number at a local thrift store. Originally it was much longer (talk about unflattering) but I knew that with a bit of tweaking I could make it look like something from Madewell (mission accomplished). I decided to pair this denim jumper with one of my grandmothers funky polyester tops which came straight from the 70's, and if any print described the time, this would be it:) I finished off the look with brown accessories, gold hoops, and darker shades of makeup. I can definitely say with certainty that this jumper will be on repeat throughout the season!

FALL Bucket List 2017

Can you believe that it is already OCTOBER?!?!?! I seems like just yesterday it was the first day of September and I was dreaming of fall and now we are in the heart of it and it seems to already be flying by! I mentioned over on my Instagram that I have been dreaming about Fall and all of the things I want to do, I an old fashioned Christmas tree farm that has a pumpkin patch every day on my way to school and it makes me so happy! Since I compiled a list of things that make me happy, and specific things I want to do this fall,  I thought it would be fun to share my fall bucketlist with you all. As the years go by, I have found that writing down a list of things I want to do helps me live every season to the fullest, especially those that hold so many warm memories for me! So without further adieu her is a list of things I want to do this fall:
