Outfit: Introversion & College

I have mentioned frequently on the blog that I am an introvert and to be honest, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering that a majority of bloggers (or at least the ones I follow) are moderate to severe Introverts; that is why blogging is such a HUGE part of who we are. With that being said, while I have mentioned my personality many times on the blog I haven't ever really talked about what it means to live as an Introvert, especially in relation to Introversion and college.

Whenever I think about the fact that I am in college, my Junior year no less, I can't help but always get this feeling that I have done the impossible! I don't know why I always feel that way, but maybe it is due to the fact that being in college is such a HUGE STRETCH for me? Granted, most days I am completely fine, but when I realize that I live away from home (on my own), am surrounded by hundreds of strangers, daily am in situations of "people overload," and now with my job, most days I must talk to people I don't know, it always seems like I am living a life that I never knew I would be able to.

Crazy thing is, I never realized that I was an introvert until maybe my Junior year of high school. I always just thought I was a quiet and shy person (which is true) but I didn't know that there were actually specific personality types that went along with these traits! Therefore, when I finally realized this I took a test and found that I was an INFJ (the 1%) which means I am 85% Introverted, 69% Intuitive, 69% feeling, 93% judging, and 81% assertive. Realizing that there are different types of personalities, and especially different levels of Introversion definitely helped me understand myself more and how my mind works.

College has been a complete game changer for me and has done some crazy things to me as an Introvert. Two semesters ago I applied to be a Resident Advisor (RA) up at college. The crazy thing about my applying to be an RA, was that the job entailed me to basically be an extrovert with my resident, or at least when carrying out my duties. I knew that when I applied, and I truly believe it was the idea of a challenge that inspired me to go through with the crazy plan. Even more astonishing was that I received the job just a few weeks later and was asked to start immediately instead of waiting till the next semester (which meant no formal training). Talk about jumping in HEAD FIRST!

Being an RA has completely changed my life....in my job position there are many times where I can become very extroverted, especially now that I am closer with all of my my co-workers. Its crazy to see all of the people that I have met and grown closer to all because I took a leap of faith on a challenge and did something CRAZY! The funny thing is that as an RA, most days I will be walking across campus, or to class and see people I know and actually say "hi" to them because I KNOW PEOPLE NOW at college (did you hear that mom!).

Some days I love the idea of meeting new people and talking to them, and then other days I go to BIG college Bible study parties and think...."Man, I am such an Introvert who is WAY out of her comfort zone!" But you know what, that is Ok! It is Ok to have days where I am out of my comfort zone because life isn't perfect and its often all about pushing ourselves beyond our boundaries to achieve something GREATER, and even in those weird situations, I always leave learning something (in the instance above I learned that college guys are absolutely CRAZY and completely immature.....but at least I will live longer with all of the laughing). However, even when I am out of my comfort zone and need to recharge, there is freedom in taking time for myself (or an entire weekend) in watching Netflix, reading a good book, single Goodwill shopping dates, Target runs, and lots of coffee to refuel my Introvert levels.

College life as an Introvert is a struggle at times, but it is a struggle and journey that has taught me sooooooooo much about myself. It has taught me that challenges are good things and that they help me grow. It has taught me that when I put myself out there to do something that is sooooo "not me" I will actually be more successful than I think. It has taught me that I actually CAN meet new people and make more than 1 friend in college and go to lunch with them, go to Bible studies with them, talk and just hang out. Sure, I still need days for myself, and I might avoid grabbing lunch at the dinning hall sometimes because #people, but I have grown to love the opportunities I have had to grow. I never would have been able to fathom all that has happened to me in college, much less everything I have been able to accomplish as an Introvert, but it has been totally worth it!

With all that being said and with the times I am challenged to be extroverted, I am still 100% an Introvert, through and through, and proudly wear my Introvert Girl Gang shirt because we have to stick together! As an Introvert (if that is you) you are unique. People might not always understand who you are (ok, most always) or realize that you need time to recharge and reasses life, but always remember that you really can do things that you never thought you would! Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and jump into a challenge! Challenges are good for us, and if you take them every once in awhile you will grow and learn more about yourself and your abilities.

Maybe that is one reason that style means so much to me? As a reserved and introverted person I tend to say that clothes sometimes talk for me (you wouldn't believe what comments I have gotten from people) and also boost my confidence so much (check out Jessica Boyer's Latest Post on outfit confidence)!! Specifically this ensemble, because it says soooooo much about who I am: classic, with a little sass, a pop of pink, and a LOT of coffee....PLUS you can't forget about the all to IMPORTANT "Introvert Girl Gang" tee which sums up who I am and gives me LIFE! I actually wore a similar combination of this look for my first day of class and I love that in wearing it I let everyone know "whats up"............I'm an introvert and I'm going to EMBRACE it!

Any of you Introverts stretch yourself in school?
Are you part of the "Introvert Girl Gang"?

First Impressions

Saturday, September 10, 2016

Skirt: Old (moms)
Shirt: Forever 21
Belt: Vintage
Shoes: Keds
Hat: Forever 21
Sunglasses: Forever 21

I will be the first to admit I am the WORST at judging people in the first 30 seconds of meeting them (maybe its my odd love for stereotyping/profiling people)....the worst, is that I am usually overly "judgy" of them and often times completely read them wrong. However, I am also the WORST at making a positive first impression on people! Sure, I am the girl who looks like she stepped out of a different decade and always dresses up wherever I go, but apparently aside from that impression I also have another impression that everyone gets when they first meet me.......

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone, a close friend, acquaintance, co-worker, etc. and they tell you what their first impression of you was? It's one of those conversations you will NEVER forget and somehow this semester has been filled with everyone telling me what their first impression of me was (I have no clue what brought that on). To be honest, at times what they tell me is often slightly shocking, but also kind of funny!

Maybe its that I can be a very serious person and paired with my also being an Introvert, I can tend to come off a little intense to some people (as I am finding out). Turns out all of my good friends, when they first met me, thought I was a mean person and someone they wouldn't want to hang out with. Evidently that changed, but it is just so interesting to find out that the people who I am closest to now once never wanted to have anything to do with me because of the person they "thought" I was.....i.e. because of their first impression of me!

Even more interesting to me, was finding out from all of my co-workers what they first thought of me. As you all know I am an RA up at college, and apparently the impression I gave off to all of my co-workers was that I was going to follow the rules, was serious about my job might snitch on others who didn't do what they were supposed to do, and apparently I also came off very confident and focused no the job at hand....in short they found me slightly intimidating.  Coincidentally, one of my co-workers (who I am super close with now) would even do everything above and beyond around me because she thought I would tell our boss and she would get fired (lol). She also recently told me, that one of her other friends had to actually convince her to get to know me, but thankfully now we are super good friends (yay).

It always surprises me to find out what others think of me, especially mo co-workers, because once one person mentions something then they all start talking, and come to find out the first impression I tend to give off is being very overly serious and slightly intimidation (which has a negative vibe). Somehow that never makes since to me, considering I am very quiet, but I suppose in my quietness I am very focused at the job at hand. Yes, I will admit that I can be serious, but it's never the kind of serious that shouts "I am better than you and don't want to have anything to do with you" kind of serious. Thankfully, now that I have worked with everyone for an entire semester, they know that I am not really that way at all and that I am actually very approachable and nice, but there is still a side to me that appears and shows through in a positive light, that I am very confident, self assured, and serious about what I do.

With all that being said, I have realized that I myself have been just as wrong in my first impressions of people as others have been about me. So often we only judge based on what we can see or hear from others when that is not the most valid way of judging a person. It is once you actually spend time with them, get to know them, or see them with their friends that you can make an accurate judge of who they are and come to find out that you were (most often) completely wrong about them! Therefore, I want to encourage you to always take the extra step in getting to know someone. In regards to myself, after finding out what people first though of me it makes me reevaluate how I come off to strangers. I have realized that most often I give off a negative and intimidating first impression and I desperately need to work on that. Therefore I know that I need to work on smiling more in general when I am going about my day, and also be more open and friendly to people I come across in life so as not to intimidate them with my all to noticeable serious side.....I am a nice person....I PROMISE.

Have you ever misjudged someone?
Has someone ever gotten the wrong first impression of you?

"Friday Night In" Essentials

Friday, September 9, 2016

Do you ever say to yourself "I need some ME time"? I find myself saying this ever so often. Sometimes amidst the chaos and business of life we need to take moments to clear our schedule, clear our mind, and just relax! To be honest, as an Introvert I spend so much time by myself, but even though I am by myself (just me myself and I) I am usually busy doing homework, running errands, or getting something accomplished that requires brain power. While I love being busy and doing things that are useful, there are so many times that I can get overwhelmed doing the daily chores of life that I need to take a step back and RELAX!

How do I do this?

I have a party of ONE (uno.....just me), I call this my Friday Night In (which is basically every Friday)! For the most part I usually think of Friday nights being the day of the week that people get together and do things, go out to eat, go on dates, etc....For the average every day person that is usually the case, unless you go to college where I do and then Thursdays are the night everyone goes out (and then they all skip their Friday classes). However, I never go out on Thursday night, and typically I allot my Friday evening to be my own personal "me time." This entails a number of fabulous, pretty girly, and relaxing things that we all need to enjoy and take advantage of from time to time......

#1- Facemask
I would have to say that a Facemask is #1 on the list because you can't get any more girl or pampered than that! I typically use a face mask for more than just pampering, but to cleanse my pores. Recently I discovered the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask and I have to say that out of all the masks I have tried this one knocks it out of the park! It moisturizes your skin instead of stripping all of the natural oils from it and it is so light that it doesn't even feel like you have a face mask on. Plus, an added bonus is that it actually has helped my skin clear up.
#2- Ice cream/Gelato
Seriously, what is a girls night or Friday night in without icecream???? Noticeably I like Gelato too (when I feel like splurging) but most days its just the simple ole ice cream pint that I go for in a flavor like chocolate, coffee, or mint chocolate chip. Full transparency.....pints are great because they fit in my freezer......that is until I am ready to eat it and then it is ALL gone in all one sitting!
#3- Nail Polish
You have to EMBRACE the stereotypical act of painting your nails on a girls night in! Truly, painting your nails is so much fun, soothing, and girly (until you mess up a nail and smudge the paint and have to start all over again). I am totally in love with this Blush pink shade of polish from the Wet n Wild gel nail polish collection!
#4- Something To Watch
What is a Friday night in without a good movie or TV show? While my interests range from action, investigation, to period dramas, and chick flicks, I have to say that chick flicks (a good cheesy, predictable, and sappy one) always win the battle when trying to decide what to watch. I have compiled a list of my go to films for a Friday Night In.

  • Letters To Juliet: Ugh....like such a good movie! Typical? Yes. Chick Flick? Yes. Basically your all around perfect girly movie complete with accents, delicious food, slight drama, Italian countrysides, true love, and happily ever afters.
  • Pride & Prejudice: Who hasn't seen this movie? Yes, I know there are some of you who don't like the 2 hour version, but to be honest it is perfect for a Friday night in. The soundtrack is TOO DIE FOR, Collin Firth plays Mr. Darcy, the characters truly are perfectly cast, and over all it is a classic love story that I will never get tired of.
  • Austenland: Ok, where are my Jane Austen fans? Did any of you memorize the first 3 chapters of Pride and Prejudice when you were 13? Well I have to say that this movie is one I will always come back to because not only does it have a wonderfully dramatic, funny, and typical plot, but it basically shows us how CRAZY our obsession with Jane Austen and period dramas can become and I am always left laughing at the sheer perfection and hilarity of the movie and characters. If you haven't see it (watch the trailer HERE) you definitely NEED to put it on the list for your next movie night.
  • Leap Year: I don't think any of us will raise a complaint at a movie based in Ireland, especially when it stars Matthew Goode and Amy Adams! Typical girl has a boyfriend, girl meets a guy, girl falls for guy, guy falls for girl, but girl goes back to boyfriend now turned fiance, realizes he is not the one, breaks off the engagement, goes back to other guy, proposes to him, then he proposes to her, they get married and live happily ever after! Irish accents and mishap travel plans, I would say that this movie is fantastic!
  • Gilmore Girls: Definitely the best girly TV show of all times! Perfect to watch by yourself, with your bestie, or with your sister. I am actually working through it for a second time and it is just as good if not better the second time! Plus....I might watch it to feel better about my COFFEE OBSESSION (#shedrinksmorecoffeethanagilmore......not really)?!?!? If you haven't seen it, now is your chance to binge watch it all before November 25th when the FINAL season comes out!!! (who is counting down the days and planning a watch party complete with chinese takeout, pizza, twizzlers, and all the other good junk food???)

#5- Cozy Blanket
Yes, I realize that it is the summer and sweltering hot outside in most places, but inside my room it is FREEZING half the time! Like, sweat pants, fuzzy socks, and sweaters kind of freezing! Therefore a cozy blanket is a definite essential for a Friday night spent in. Besides the fact that it will keep you warm and cozy, I also feel like a blanket triggers something in your brain that causes you to relax?
#6- Comfy Clothes (preferably pajamas & fuzzy socks)
Like I said above, my room is freezing, so I am always wearing fuzzy socks. Whenever I am in my room, typically though, I usually change straight into comfortable clothes. Therefore, when taking a Friday night in it is imperative that you pull out a cute pair of pajamas or even an old pair that is super comfortable, throw them on, an hop in bed or on the couch!
#7- Hot Tea when you want to relax or wind down, or just
because :)
We already have ice cream, but sometimes you need a warm drink to set your body into a relaxed mode. There is truly nothing like tea that sooths you straight to the soul! My go to tea flavors  are a cup of peppermint tea with a spoonful of honey, plain chamomile, lavender chamomile, or a sleepy time tea.

Do you ever have a Friday Night In for a party of ONE?
What are your Friday Night Essentials?
Any fun plans for tonight?

Fall Style Wishes

Fall Style
Fall Style by oldfashionedgirl

It's that time of the year! That time when you start dreaming of cool weather (but still have 100 degree temperatures). That time when you desperately want to wear a cozy sweater, but know you would burn up, but go ahead anyways. That time when you step outside in the early morning and think that you might just be able to smell fall in the air. Oh, what am I even saying.....Its that time of the year where Pumpkin Spice Latte's are back and you make your friends take a picture of your hand holding the cup HERE!!!! Fall is just around the corner and I CANNOT WAIT!!! (I seriously chewed a piece of cinnamon gum this past weekend when I went outside just to make my brain think it was fall....no joke). With that being said however, means that wardrobes will be changing (more on that later this week) and with that comes my lovely Fall Style Wishlist/Must Haves.

I have loved everything that has been coming to stores for this coming season, and actually recently just picked up 3 different pieces for my wardrobe for the fall (which I NEVER do) but the styles were to good to pass up. Thus, if you want to know what I am wishing for this fall or what I am adding to my wardrobe, than keep reading:

  1. Floral Midi Dress: For any of you who are Target fans, did you see this dress in stores when their fall lines hit? I was totally FREAKING out when I found it because the colors are fabulous, I love the length, the style is so 70's meets 2016 and the print looks like a fall palette take on Rifle Paper Co. While I am typically a more classic vintage soul (40's, 50's, and 60's) the 70's really became a huge inspiration for me last fall, so we will see if that continues this season. I ordered the dress over Labor Day weekend when it was on sale (great excuse to spend money right) and can't wait to wear it. I think it will look great with a felt hat and ankle boots.
  2. Wet n Wild Gel Nail Polish: I recently discovered the Wet n Wild gel nail polishes which I am totally in love with especially the colors Crime of Passion & Left Marooned which totally fit into my fall wardrobe colors. We often think that styles only change when the seasons do, but I think changing up our nail color is just as important for incorporating the styles of the coming season.
  3. Mustard Yellow Tights: If you haven't heard, mustard yellow is one of the fall 2016 colors and I couldn't be happier (because it is one of my favorite colors in fashion)! Just another EXTRA excuse to wear my old mustard tights more frequently....plus they totally match the target dress that I got as well as a number of my other sweaters and fall skirts.
  4. Cambridge Satchel: If you have never checked out the Cambridge Satchel company than you are in for a treat because I ADORE every single one of their satchels, bags, and purses and they come in the most lovely selection of colors to choose from! While I absolutely adore this brown satchel and think that it would be the perfect addition to any Fall wardrobe, I still don't have one of their satchels, but maybe one day I will get one (hint, hint, to anyone looking for Birthday or Christmas present ideas.....)
  5. Lace Up Flats: To say I have been wanting these since the beginning of the summer would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! Whenever this style came out this past year I couldn't help loving the ladylike elegance and edge that the lace up (sued) style falts had. I have been on the lookout for a pair (that I loved and could afford) for the past 3 months and finally found this pair (loving the color) at Target. I have actually tried them on every time I visited Target (since they came out in August) and only just purchased them within the last week.......they are totally worth it though because I will wear them all fall long!
  6. Denim Jacket: Funny thing.....I used to have a denim jacket as did my sister but somehow we no longer have them? Truly, I haven't ever been that much of a fan of them, but recently I have been creating all of these outfit combos in my head which all revolve around a denim Jacket (weird right)! Therefore, when I went out to take blog pictures this past weekend I decided that I wanted a denim jacket for the shoot, so I decided to add a denim jacket to my fall wardrobe. Usually I am not that impulsive (like EVER) but it was one of those purchases I don't regret because I know I will get a lot of wear out of it.
  7. Rimmel London Berry Lip Color: Can't say enough about berry colored lipstick for the fall (to be honest its really basically purple). I used to be afraid of wearing crazy colors, but I have taken the plunge and love wearing BOLD lip colors now. In the fall months I love to wear the brown shades and purples. If you haven't ever checked out Rimmel London's products (found at Wallgreens, Target, and CVS) than you totally should because they have the best colors, at the best prices, and with good lasting ability.
  8. Chalkfull of Love Pumpkin Spice Case: You all should know by now that Chalkedfulloflove is one of my FAVORITE brands/small businesses, and Sarah's Casefy Collection is just as great as her mugs and prints. Not to make life any better or anything (wink...wink), but as an avid and obsessed Pumpkin Spice Latte fan I can't help but fangirl over this phone case and say that this is definitely a fall must have!
  9. e.l.f. Bronzer: I have always been a strict blush kind of girl, but as the fall months draw closer I have opted for a more "natural" warm glow type of look. I am always a fan of saving money on drug store makeup, so e.l.f. is my go to. I am totally loving this bronzer from elf and have incorporated it into my makeup looks recently (maybe I should do a video on fall makeup palettes??)
  10. Neck Scarf: Anyone realize the current trend for Neck Scarves, especially this coming fall? I used to think neck scarves were a bit overboard, but now that so many of my favorite bloggers are rocking the look and considering it is actually a trend that is coming back around, I am ALL for it! I have been trying to incorporate the trend more in my wardrobe and so far I am totally loving it!
What are some things on your Fall Must Have/Wish List?
Any of these styles or products ones you like?

Growth

Monday, September 5, 2016

Jumper: Made
Shirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted
Necklace: Vintage

Well, it sure has taken long enough for me to get these pictures up on the blog, but considering that Fall is right around the corner this shoot seems like the perfect way to say farewell to summer. Today is Labor Day after all, which in itself seems to close the doors on summer fashion (goodbye whites) and usher in a new season of styles and colors. While I can't wait for the crisp fall weather to get here (yay for fall colors and sweaters), I can't help but think back to all of the lovely memories from this summer! This shoot particularly was a great memory because I had been dreaming of shooting at our local plant nursery for the longest time. Thankfully I persuaded two of my friends to come with me for a photo shoot day (just so happened to be right before I headed back to college) and boy did we get some lovely shots! Definitely a day to remember.

With all that being said, and considering that I am completely surrounded by the loveliest plants in all of these pictures, it makes me think about "GROWTH." While growth definitely makes me think about all of the beauty in nature that I am surrounded by every day, it also makes me think about growth in my own life. Whenever I think about growth, so many thing pop into my mind such as beauty, new beginnings, lessons, and letting go. Specifically for me, I think about the amount of growth that I have done over the course of this current semester (even though we are only a week and a half into school).

College itself has been all about growth for me, as I have had to trust God with areas of my life that were hard to trust him with and have faith that his plans were better than my own! I truly believe that the only way you will grow in life is when you learn to let go. However, letting go is one of the hardest things to do. Nevertheless, when we learn to let go we learn that it can be one of the most rewarding things because when we let go of our own desires we open ourselves up for God's greater plan in our life, and when we do that we grow in ways we would never have imagined! When I reflect back on the growth in my life I can't help but think back to a quote from Elisabeth Elliott which reads:

There is no ongoing spiritual life without this process of letting go. At the precise point where we refuse, growth stops. If we hold tightly to anything given to us, unwilling to let it go when the time comes to let it go or unwilling to allow it to be used as the Giver means it to be used, we stunt the growth of the soul.

We have to learn to let go in life in order to grow! After all, trees let go and loose their leaves so that they can grow new ones when spring comes.......sometimes we have to be willing to let go of our leaves too, so that new ones can grow. Growth is soooooo important in our lives, because without it we would never learn what we are capable of and even more so, what God is capable of in our life!

Have you experienced any growth in your life recently?
What do you think about letting go and growth?

September Plans & Goals

Thursday, September 1, 2016

September 2016 InStyle Magazine

Can you believe it is September already?!?!?!? That means I have already been back up at college for nearly a MONTH! I seriously can't wrap my mind around that, much less wrap my mind around the fact that the semester has started back and I have to get into FULL STUDENT MODE again......anyone else ready to be done with school??? I seriously feel like school has become my life (which it basically has) and I am so ready at times to get on with another chapter of my life besides waking up, going to class, drinking coffee every chance I get, doing homework, and taking tests, #readyforadultlife and yet also #notreadyforadultlife! However, there is one thing to look forward to this month and that is FALL or AUTUMN (as you know that is my favorite season), so bring on the cooler weather, colorful leaves, pumpkin EVERYTHING, sweaters, and cozy mornings!

If you didn't get a chance to catch my August Plans & Goals post than check that out HERE real quick, otherwise, lets get stated with my plans and goals for the month of September:

September Plans:
  • The most OBVIOUS plan is that I will be drinking LOTS of pumpkin spice when it arrives at Starbucks sometime this month (hopefully), but in the meantime I am determined to discovering the best homemade version of that beloved drink! (stay tuned because it could come to the blog??)
  • I think this is a FIRST in my history of blogging, but I actually have nearly every post for the rest of this month planned out with pictures! I honestly don't know how that happened, especially since I started back to college, but we shall see if I can keep that streak up. Keep an eye out for all the new post coming to the blog!
  • This semester had a TOTALLY DIFFERENT dynamic than other semesters! I am closer with all of my co-workers and as a result we do things together a lot, including staff bonding dinners and coming up within the next month I want to have a movie weekend with the 4 girls and show them the 5 hour Pride and Prejudice since none of them have seen that version.
  • Per my mothers request (with hidden motives) I will be attending the large College Bible  study every Thursday evening. To be honest I probably would have gone anyways this semester, since one of my co-workers is a part of it and has invited me before, and now that I have a few more friends who are up at Sam. However, full disclosure that my moms main reason for DESPERATELY wanting me to go to the college Bible study is so that I will hopefully"meet a guy"(LOL)......mind you that is not my reasoning for going (I promise) !
  • Now that I am stuck up at college most weekends of the month, and considering I have a few friends who started going here this fall, I am planning on us grabbing breakfast a few Saturday's a month followed by a photo shoot!! (why not utilize them as your designated photographer on Saturday's...)
  • As I will be up here at college on the weekends (hence the plan above) I am hoping to grab a group of friends and try out some different churches in the area to attend on Sunday mornings.
  • Per my recent realization that I have a number of my posts planned out for the beginning part of this month I am hoping to continue that organized schedule in my blog routine!
  • In light of blogging, having content, and planning posts, I am trying to work out a good schedule for days that I can go and take pictures. In the past I would just wing it because I needed pictures for a post, but I would love to go take pictures to store for future posts instead of always having to go out the day before I want to post something...
  • One of my college friends and I head up a small group called "Daughters of Righteousness" on campus. We are having to rebuild the organization from what it used to be and basically start from scratch, so we are in the midst of planning lessons and trying to get the word out to people.
September GOALS:
  • Recap on last month: I said I wanted to start and finish a book....well, I read one in a weekend (Lovely Bones) so #accomplishment! I also said I wanted to start drinking more water and I have, so I definitely want to keep that up!
  • Still have yet to film a second Stop Motion video so maybe I will do that one of these weekends I am stuck up at college for duty rounds?
  • Finger crossed that I will find the time to film a couple new tutorial videos! Leave a comment below with any ideas you have in mind!!
  • I am still giving myself the goal to meet new people or at least start conversations with new people! I have been fortunate to have a number of newbie freshmen in my house this year so that has been nice getting to talk to them and ask them about life:)
  • I started a second book on my Fall Reading List so if I keep up my pace I should finish that by the end of this month (or hopefully sooner) and can keep working through all of the titles I have set aside to read this semester!
  • I am the absolute WORST at being motivated to work out!! Yes, I am taking a modern dance class 2 days a week and probably burn off all of the calories I eat every day with the speed at which I walk to class (up and down hills mind you) but I still want to go and run at least 2 days a week! That is my main goal for this month is to get into a workout routine and be motivated.
  • Oh gosh....I have a partially sewn dress sitting in the drawer of my desk! I definitely need to finish that dress this month and post it on the blog:)
What are some of your plans for September?
Do you have any goals you are working towards?
Any thoughts on new videos you would like to see on my blog/channel?
