Everyday Makeup With L'oreal Paris

Wednesday, August 23, 2017

I am back again with a NEW makeup tutorial and a fabulous post about my new favorite products with L'Oreal Paris! I have been a huge fan of L'Oreal Paris for years, but never ventured out of their mascaras, however after receiving a number of their new products I fell in love with everything about them and how perfectly they fit into my everyday makeup routine and life!

I was pretty blown away by the mascara, foundation, and lipstick and can't get enough of either one! As always, you can find any of the L'Oreal Paris products at your local drugstore or Target and they are definitely my new go to for a professional quality at an affordable price. If you want to see how I used each product you can watch the tutorial I put together.

Summer Makeup Tutorial

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I thought I would change things up a bit today and share a tutorial with you all.....actually its a summer makeup tutorial! Now, I know you all are itching for fall to arrive just as much as I am, but knowing the weather here in Texas I will probably have to endure at lease another month of summer type weather. Therefore, if you ever wondered what my go to is in the hot months and sunshine days this is the tutorial for you!

To be honest this summer my makeup routine was GREATLY influenced by Linda (pictured below) from the movie My All American. Not only do I love the styles of the movie #1960's, and totally incorporated that era into my summer wardrobe, but I also loved the light, natural, and peachy tones that Linda always wore.

Here is a list of the products that I used:

Primer: Rimmel London "Fix & Perfect Pro"
Base Foundation: COVERGIRL "tru BLEND" in shade i1
Conceiler: COVERGIRL "Ready Set Gorgious" in fair
Highlighter: MAYBELLINE "Fit Me" in Porcelain 110
Loose Powder: CLINIQUE blended face powder in 08 Transparencey neutral
Blush: e.l.f. "Candid Coral"
Eye Shadow: e.l.f. gold compact in "Enchanted"
White Highlight Shadow: MAYBELLINE white compact
Brows: MAYBELLINE "BROWprecise" micro crayon in light brown
Mascara: REVLON "Volume + Length" magnified in Blackened Brown
Lipstick: Rimmel London "Lasting Finish Katie" in shade 12

Granted, my hair is not done in this video so if I wasn't filming a hair tutorial (HERE) right after this makeup tutorial that day, than I would have TOTALLY done a 1960's style to go along with this look. However, total transparency is that my hair is in a messy bun when I wake up in the morning and usually stays that way till my makeup is done!

All in all, I hope you all enjoyed the video:)

Are you a fan of natural peachy makeup pallets?
Have you ever used any of these products?

Gel Nail Polish + Stop Motion Video

Wednesday, August 17, 2016

I don't know about you all, but nail polish has never lasted very long for me. Somehow I am very hard on my nails and regular nail polish or a manicure from a salon only lasts a few days. Thus, with the short life of regular polish, and my impatience in having to wait for nail polish to dry has often kept me from painting my nails on a regular basis. However, when gel nail polish came out I was intrigued by its quality and lasting ability. Since Then, I have tried out three different brands of Gel Nail polish, all varying in prices, and for the most part they all hold up under wear equally and I am never going back to regular polish!
While regular polish usually only last 3 days before it starts chipping, Gel Nail Polish will last almost a week before it starts chipping/fading and then I can still get away with it for at least another week.....pretty GREAT if I do say so myself!

I thought it would be fun to make a Stop Motion video showing my Gel Nail polish collection!
Thus, here are all of the polishes and colors included in the video:
Revlon
Roulette Rush 620 (red)
2 Of A Kind 465 (grey/brown)
All or Nothing 020 (light pink)
Diamond Top Coat 010 (clear)
Sally Hansen
Sugar Fix 370 (light blue)
Game of Chromes 510 (gold)
All Chalked Up 230 (lavender)
Wet'n Wild
Pale In Comparison 720A (blush pink)
Pardon My Peach 726A (peach)

Tutorial: How I Curl My Hair

Saturday, July 30, 2016

You've asked, I've listened, and FINALLY I filmed a hair tutorial for you all! For the longest time I have been asked how I achieve a vintage "finger wave" curl with my hair and what kind of tools I use. Thus, in my latest video I show you just how I achieve this style.

For any curled hairstyle I do, I use the KOR 19mm wand. Funny story in regards to my wand (and straighter because they are the same brand) is that they are actually from those carts in the mall that always ask to fix your hair with their products........oddly enough all of my heated hair tools have come from the mall kiosks (apparently they are good salespeople) and have all turned out to be the best tools ever!

I hope you enjoy this tutorial video and hopefully I will be doing more of these in the future! Make sure to go and subscribe to my YouTube Channel in order to stay updated on any new videos I put out.

Do you use a wand to curl your hair?

Part 2: Q&A #2

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

It's a new week and time for Part 2 of Q&A #2!!! YAY!!
Hope you all enjoy hearing my answers to the rest of the questions as I talk about some things you didn't know about me, my future hopes for the blog, and maybe a quote from Lizzie Bennett Diaries.....however, pardon my strange seriousness and lack of smiles in this second video (I have no clue why I wasn't more animated in this one.....it is soooo serious...)

I am hoping to possibly start doing more videos for the blog such as makeup and hair tutorials, thrift hauls, and maybe even a spring/summer look book video? If you have any idea, suggestions, or things you really want to see leave a comment down below.

ENJOY!!!

Part 1: Q&A #2

Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Cue the confetti, throw the glitter, find a cozy place to sit, grab yourself a cup of coffee or brew a pot of tea and settle in for Part 1 of my second Q&A video.

I told you it was just around the corner and here it is! After much blood, sweat, and tears (not really....that is a bit of an exaggeration) it is finally edited and all put together! I had some trouble with my video editor at first, and video file compatibility, and other such headache nonsense but all is well and good now.
Therefore, it is time to get started!

I loved reading all the questions you all left for me and I loved answering them even more. Take a look down below to watch the video.....Enjoy:)

//Coming Soon// Q&A pt. 2

Thursday, February 25, 2016

Hello all of you LOVELY readers!!! I hope this quick post finds you well. As I mentioned at the beginning of this week I am going to be filming my second Q&A video over my spring break which is in two weeks......yay!!!
On that note, I need questions from all of you:) I know that there are a number of things that I wonder about bloggers when reading their posts, because lets face it, we can't talk about everything in a post.....there just is not enough time. Therefore, now is your chance to ask me those questions.
Leave a comment with any and all of your questions or you could even comment them on Instagram.

For starters here are some ideas:

What are your long term goals or dreams for your blog?
Where do you buy your clothes?
How do you put together an outfit?
How does your fashion/style affect your college experience?
etc......

I can't wait to hear what you all have to ask!!!
