Week 2 of my weekly style challenge just wrapped up (last week, but whose keeping track) so here is what I wore throughout the week!
Week 2 was all about jumpsuits, rompers, and overalls + a BOLD lip. Somehow I managed to capture my looks nearly every day during week 2 and I'm kind of impressed at my dedication....it's all downhill from here!
If there was one word I would use to describe the evolution of my style over the last year it would be "JUMPSUITS" because I am completely and utterly OBSESSED with them! There is a whole section of my clothes rack dedicated to my jumpsuits, boilersuits, rompers, etc. now and I am 100% here for it. I think what drew me to jumpsuits is the fact that they are uber comfortable and also unique....I am all about the crazy, unique and bold fashions or trends and jumpsuits often fit into this category. Plus, jumpsuits are an easy fashion choice because styling them is super easy and you can easily dress them up or down.

Are you a fan of jumpsuits?

Style Challenge - Week 1, Favorite Comfy / Cozy Dress + Hair Accessory

Saturday, May 9, 2020

Dress: Vintage (Thrifted)  |  Shoes: Keds (Poshmark)  |  Headband: DIY

Dress: Thrifted  |  Tshirt: Wallmart  |  Shoes: Keds (Poshmark)  |  Scrunchie: Wallmart

Dress: Thrifted (Vintage)  |  Shoes: Salt Water Sandals (Modcloth)  |  Bandana: Target

This week was Week #1 of my weekly style challenge. I wanted to start off the challenge with something simple and easy, but also something that can easily be reinvented through styling or trying something new. With that, this weeks challenge was focused on comfy and cozy dresses and a hair accessory.
I styled 3 different dresses for the style challenge this week and tried to focus on something different with each. Day 1 I focused on a bold print by wearing a colorful plaid vintage dress that I paired with a pink velvet headband. Day 2 I used one of my favorite style hacks to reinvent a fancier polka dot dress by layering it over a tshirt and pairing it with white sneakers. Day 3 I played with proportion and wore one of my favorite flowy button up sack dresses and styled it with sandals for a classy spring ensemble.
Dresses are one of the most versatile pieces in ones wardrobe because they can easily go from casual to dress, simply with styling, shoes, and changing your hairstyle. Not to mention dresses are incredibly comfortable (most style anyways) and also carry an air of femininity.
If you want to see more of my weekly style through the challenge, make sure to check back next week and also follow along with the challenge on Instagram. I would love for you to take part in the challenge, so feel free to jump in any time :)

Weekly Style Challenge

Thursday, May 7, 2020

Hello Lovely readers! I am back again, sooner than expected to share a fun project with you all! I don't know about you, but right now I think we all need a bit of normalcy in our lives & also a bit of creativity! If you are anything like me, putting an outfit together and getting ready every day helps you feel like your best self! Fashion has always been a form of self expression for me, but since I currently don't leave the house (social distancing and all) I wanted something to challenge me to actually get dressed every day.
With that, I decided to create a weekly style challenge (#mmstylechallenge) and I would LOVE for you to take part in it. You can take part in it by using the style prompts every week, posting about it on social media, or even sharing it for yourself on your blog, styling a new outfit every week.
While I will be sharing about each weeks challenge here on the blog, I am largely incorporating it into my Instagram, sharing posts, styling videos, or talking about it on my Instagram stories.

Here is how it works:

Every week there is a different style challenge, created to use pieces that you should already have or maybe challenge you to try something new! Below is the list of each weeks challenge for the rest of May. Check out my Instagram to see my style videos that I will share each week for the challenge.

I am so excited about these weekly style challenges & hope you will think about joining in on the fun! If you have a Blog, you could use this challenge as a weekly blog post prompt, or you could take part in it on Instagram by styling an outfit to share on your feed or Insta. Story (make sure to use the hashtag & tag me so that I can share it).

Here's to the coming weeks of fabulous and fun styling!
